Today we welcomed Colleen and Alfred Wilson, two volunteers from way down under in New Zealand. They are both crew members of the steam Tug Lyttleton. The Lyttleton is a coal powered tug that was built in Scotland in 1907. We had a great chat about steam power, coal as a fuel, and what volunteers do to keep a 118 year old steam operated tug boat going. Please take a moment and go to the Lyttleton’s web site, they have quite an interesting history, better yet on your next trip to New Zealand stop by Littleton and see her for yourself.
